BRANSON, Mo., November 7, 2013 –Branson Tourism Center’s In-House Marketing Department (BTC) recently received a “1st Place Regional Winner” award in the 2013 “International Best Brochure Competition” of the “International Association of Professional Brochure Distributors” for design and appeal of its “Main Street Lake Cruises Brochure.” The award was announced at the association’s annual meeting in Mexico City in September.
In notifying BTC of the award, Kira Howard, President of the “Association of Professional Brochure Distributors,” said that the brochure was selected from “a possible field of over 19,000” which was narrowed down to a final list of 73 and “then evaluated through competitive comparisons using specific criteria including, headline quality, construction, content and overall appeal.” Howard pointed out that the “judges were industry professionals representing brochure distribution and display companies from across the U.S., Mexico, Canada and Europe.”
Brad Jones, the Graphics Designer on the brochures said that, from a graphics perspective, he wanted to create a unique appealing brochure that caught the attention of potential customers looking at it in a “brochure rack” and accentuated each of “Main Street Lake Cruises” boats when the brochure was opened. He went on to say the brochure was a team effort and, “Is a testament as to the quality of what we do here at the Branson Tourism Center.” Larry Milton, the co-owner of the Branson Tourism Center and Main Street Lake Cruises with his wife Lianne said, “All of us at Branson Tourism Center believe that our In House Marketing Department is second to none and are very pleased with this tourism marketing recognition from the International marketing community.”
