You will find everything you love about Christmas at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri. Christmas in Midtown alone has 145 miles of lights covering that one-and-a-half-acre area. If the facts are astounding, the results are enchanting. Walking through Midtown is enthralling; running reindeer, flying angels, light tunnels, and a giant turning globe, it’s almost as bright as daytime all over the park. Lights everywhere, delicious holiday scents wafting through the air. It’s truly magical. Children laughing, people passing, meeting smile after smile!
Two of the extraordinary delights during Silver Dollar City’s Old Time Christmas are two Broadway-style productions. A Dickens’ Christmas Carol is excellent, with revolving sets, flying spirits, pyrotechnic special effects, and a talented 15-member cast, beautifully costumed and accompanied by a live band.
Kids of all ages will be excited that Time Traveler Roller Coaster and other select rides are open at night, weather permitting. Just think about experiencing your favorite ride after dark with all those lights! The new Time Traveler coaster has 30 miles of new lights in the launch area. Time Traveler opened at Silver Dollar City in March of this year and is the latest of the City’s coasters. It’s the fastest, steepest, and tallest complete-circuit spinning roller coaster in the world!
Rudolph leads the Christmas Light Parade twice each evening. You’ll love him and his friend Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster, 14 ft. moose characters, 12 ft. tall elves, penguins, and marching soldiers, 45 colorful characters, oh my! The five-story special effects tree on the Square is astonishing.
There’s a 12-ft. talking tree in Tinker Junior’s Toy Shop, an interactive show for kids. And it’s a rousing good time with the Frontier Fa-La-La Follies at the Silver Dollar Saloon. Santa Claus Lane, Rudolph’s Christmas Town, and food, oh, the choices are myriad.
