“One of the truly amazing things about Branson is the diversity and quality of the things it offers in addition to its world renowned live entertainment shows and attractions,” said Tammy Johnson, the Director of Operations for the Branson Tourism Center. “One of those things is the excitement of being able to see the Men’s NAIA Division II Championship being played March 12 – 18 at the College of the Ozarks,” she added.
Oh sure there’s “March Madness,” but the quality of the play I have witnessed through the years in this tournament is as electrifying and passionate as any you will see during “March Madness,” maybe even more. For most of these athletes, the athletic highlight of their careers isn’t playing for the NBA and big bucks, but being able to play in this tournament and the chance to win it. For the fans, not only will they get to see some great basketball, but they will get to see it up-close and personal in the intimate atmosphere of the college’s “Keeter Gymnasium.”
For the first two days of the tournament it’s round the clock basketball with eight First Round games a day starting at 8:30 AM through 9:45 PM March 12th and 13th. The eight game Second Round will be played starting at 8:30 AM on March 14th, the four game Quarter Finals on March 15th starting at 1:00 PM and, with Sunday being a day off, the two game Semi-Finals will be played on March 17th starting at 6:00 PM with the Championship game on March 18 starting at 6:00 PM and televised on ESPN 3.
