Easter typically brings with it beautiful spring weather, easter egg hunts, good food, and family memories, and in Branson, it usually brings visitors. With the craziness of the global pandemic upon us, it may seem that Easter 2020 is a bust. Not to worry- here in Branson,we’re getting pretty good at creative ways to stay connected during the #Quarantine, and Easter is no exception! We’ve put together a practical list to help you make the most of the Easter holiday, even if you have to #StayHome.
Let’s hop to it (we couldn’t resist!)
1. Watch a Church Service Online
Traditionally, families attend church together on Easter Sunday morning, so why should this Easter be any different? Thanks to the internet and creative technolgy available to us today, you can enjoy Sunday Service in your living room. Don’t have a regular Church you attend? No worries! Here are a couple of Branson Churches hosting incredible online Easter services you can tune into!

2. Put on Your Sunday Best and Take a Family Photo Shoot!
Just becuase you won’t be seeing anyone else doesn’t mean you can’t still look amazing, right? Pull out last year’s Easter dress, get the rest of your #QuarantineMates ready, step out into the backyard, and pull out your phone to capture this moment in history! Here’s a couple of our favorite phone photography tips below, but you can find the whole list here.
- Focus: With the camera app open, tap the screen while pointing at the subject of the photo to get the camera to focus and adjust lighting accordingly.
- Lighting: Speaking of lighting, pay attention to where the light source is located in location to the subject, i.e., your smiling faces.
- No Flash: It may seem like it should help, but often, it’ll overexpose you.
3. Get in the Easter Spirit with the Branson.com Easter Playlist

4. Virtually Hang-Out with Friends & Family
Want to see your loved ones but can’t because #Quarantine? No problem! Put technology to good use and set up a virtual hangout. You can plan to all eat at the same time, chat, listen to a service together- the possibilities are endless! Here’s some top apps to use when setting up your hang-out:
- Facebook Messenger Video calls: Almost everyone has it, it’s easy, why not?
- Facebook Watch Party: A new feature for Facebook, set a time to all watch a service and interact with each other live.
- Zoom Call: Lots of folks have zoom for work, but it works for fam, too!
- HouseParty: A new app that allows users to easily group video call!
5. Send an Easter E-Card
One way to let people know you are thinking about them is to send them a special card! Too late for snail mail? No problem! You can use this sweet template compliments of Branson.com or design your own in the free and easy software at Canva.com!
6. Dye Easter Eggs
Perhaps the number one Easter tradition, dying your own Easter Eggs is great way to release creativity and make memories at the same time! There are so many ways to design your eggs, you might even try a few different options. Our top favorites are Glow in the Dark (for a fun older kids hunt at night!), Tie Dye, and Water-Color! 7. Make Some Good Food!
I don’t know about you, but one of the best ways to spend any day in my personal opinion is in the kitchen. What better way to celebrate a holiday than with some good eats?
