BRANSON, Mo., September 16, 2014 – “Branson’s ‘Veterans Homecoming Week is a special event even in Branson, where Veterans, active duty Armed Forces personnel and their families are honored every day for their service and sacrifices on behalf of our Nation,” said Annette Wood, the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Branson Tourism Center. “The seven day celebration runs from November 5 through November 11 of each year, is America’s biggest ‘Veterans’ Day’ tribute and, among many other events honoring Veterans, will feature one of America’s longest running Veterans parades, the 81st ‘Branson’s Veterans Day Parade,’ through historic downtown Branson starting at the 11th Hour of the 11th day of the 11th month,” she added.
The seven day event is both a tribute and a celebration filled with a variety of activities such as the Veterans Day Parade, the “Traveling Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial” (The Wall) at the Welk Resort, various reunions, memorial ceremonies, special events, and entertainment shows, most of which are free to Veterans, active duty military personal and their immediate families.
