BRANSON, Mo., January 7, 2014 – Although Branson has had access to Verizon’s 4G LTE network since 2011, that has been of little benefit to the 100s of millions of AT&T mobile phone customers who enjoyed AT&T 4G LTE service at home, but would lose it while visiting Branson. Not anymore! With the announcement by AT&T yesterday that its 4G LTE network has launched in Branson, the millions of AT&T customers having AT&T 4G LTE service at home will be able to enjoy the same quality of service while visiting Branson.
During a telephone interview today, Mark Siegel, AT&T Media Relations, was asked what the arrival of AT&T’s 4G LTE network in Branson will mean to AT&T customers visiting Branson. He said, “They are going to have a much more enhanced and enjoyable experience when using their mobile phones in Branson as compared to what was available prior to the 4G LTE network being launched. It will be faster so if you want to download a video or look at a website it’s going to be just ‘lickety-split’ in a way you have never seen it before.” Siegel also claimed that AT&T has the fastest of the 4G LTE networks and said that he thought the folks who use it in Branson will find that as well.
“With both Verizon and AT&T now offering 4G LTE Service in Branson, the vast majority of Branson visitors can enjoy the benefits that 4G LTE networks provide when using those networks on their mobile devices to download emails, web pages, data, videos and music,” said Tammy Johnson, the Director of Operations for the Branson Tourism Center, who is herself an AT&T customer. “Speed aside however, particularly on vacation when one is more likely to download videos and other high data items, it’s great to know that the vast majority of Branson lodging facilities provide complimentary Wi-Fi which provides the benefits of high speed downloads while not using the data from your carrier plan for the download.”
