Branson’s 9/11 Ceremonies 2024: Honoring the Heroes and Remembering the Fallen

Branson is known for its dedication to patriotism and honoring those who serve our country. This year, the community will gather to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, through solemn ceremonies held at College of the Ozarks and Branson Landing.

College of the Ozarks: “A Place of Honor”

A special 9/11 ceremony will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 9 a.m. at College of the Ozarks to honor the lives lost in the tragic attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. The ceremony will take place at the Lest We Forget 9/11 Memorial, located next to the Point Lookout Fire Department on James Forsythe Drive, on the College campus.

Special guest Sonja Maria Lohmeyer, U.S. Navy Reserve Captain and CEO of Assuage Leadership and Strategic Planning, will share her personal experience from Washington, D.C. on 9/11.

The event will also include a welcome by General James P. Schreffler, music from the College of the Ozarks Concert Band, the raising of the 9/11 National Remembrance Flag, a presentation by fifth-grade students from the S. Truett Cathy Lower School, and a symbolic volley led by Fire Chiefs Ted Martin and Chris Berndt.

The public is invited to attend.

Hosted by The Brett Family and the Branson Veteran’s Task Force, this beautiful and moving ceremony is held in observance of the tragic events that forever changed the world on 9/11/01.

The ceremony will honor the nearly three thousand lives lost, as well as the brave actions of first responders and the U.S. military. All are invited to attend this free event, which offers a time of healing, remembrance, and reflection.

How do we compare?

When comparing prices between different web sites, please make sure you are comparing apples to apples. Most web sites display individual prices before taxes and hidden fees, which they surprise you with at the last step in the check out process. And when you see a package price on our web site, it is the total price for all people in your party (not per person).

In many cases, when comparing our price to the total price including taxes and any hidden fees that you might get charged on other web sites, our prices will be lower. To learn more and to make sure that you are getting the best deal on your Branson vacation, please call us toll-free at:
