First-time visitors to Branson are often amazed when they arrive in this little Ozarks town that has so much to see, do and enjoy! Guests who have come with a list of shows might be surprised at all the lake fun, championship golf courses, mountain coasters, and ziplines there are to enjoy during the warmer summer months!
Here are some things to look forward to this summer season in Branson, Missouri!
Inspiration Tower at The Shepherd of the Hills gives you a 360° panorama of the Ozarks; and each season offers a different view. In the summer months, the greenery of the landscape is at its peak! Inspiration Tower is 230 feet tall, and on clear days you have a 90-mile view, even down into Arkansas and the Boston Mountains. At the 170-foot level of the Tower is the Vigilante Extreme ZipRider. You’re seated and strapped in when you take off, the view is amazing, and it automatically slows as you land. There’s plenty going on at The Shepherd of the Hills this year with new shows, fun rides and frequent seasonal events on property!
Back in 2016, The Track brought Chicago’s famous Navy Pier Ferris Wheel to Branson. The Branson Ferris Wheel is at Track 4, on Branson’s famous 76 Strip. It’s 150 feet tall, and at night, the lighting is spectacular. Michal Haygood, of The Haygoods, and his team designed the magnificent display, including Electrify, a music and light program that uses the Wheel’s 16,000 LED lights. There are 40 gondolas, and it’s a wonderful way to get a bird’s eye view of The 76 Strip.
Meanwhile, back outdoors, how about some snow fun in the summertime? The Snowflex Tubing at Wolfe Mountain successfully built the country’s largest synthetic tubing run. It uses the high performance snow sports surface Snowflex. The slope is 400 feet long and makes the perfect opportunity for winter fun without the winter bundling!
If you’re more into the shopping scene, you’ll enjoy the Branson Landing! While there, be sure not to miss Parakeet Pete’s Steampunk Balloon which brings guests 188 feet in the air for an extraordinary aerial view of Lake Taneycomo and Historic Downtown Branson. There’s also many dining options available to enjoy at the Landing as well as additional attractions including an arcade, bowling alley and Parakeet Pete’s Zipline!
Spending a day on any of Branson’s three lakes is an excellent way to enjoy quality time with friends or family! Whether you’re cooling off in the freshwater on a hot summer day or casting a line for a relaxing day of fishing amidst scenic surroundings, the lakes offer a plethora of recreational opportunities. With numerous boat docks, camping/RV spots, and rental businesses for boats, kayaks, paddleboards, and more — there’s something for everyone to enjoy on the water.
Of course, our list of live music shows is long and legendary! To name a few are Reza ~ Edge of Illusion, The Haygoods, and Legends in Concert!
