BRANSON, Mo., August 23, 2013 – “One of the most common questions we are asked is, ‘What shows will be performing when I am in Branson?'” said Tammy Johnson, the Director of Operations for the Branson Tourism Center, one of Branson’s largest and most respected vacation planning services and sellers of Branson show tickets. “The simplest and most direct way to find out is to simply call one of our friendly locally based Branson Travel Planners, toll free at 800-785-1550 seven days a week from 8:00 am – 9:30 pm (CST) for assistance, but another way is to use the Branson Tourism Center Shows and Attractions Schedule (Schedule),” Johnson added.
Even a quick perusal of the Schedule shows that on any given day during the Branson season, there are over 100 different live Branson shows being performed offering a breadth of live entertainment that is remarkable for any tourist destination let alone one of Branson’s size. Clicking on the Show’s name will take you to additional information on that show including its description, schedule, ticket pricing, pictures and, in many cases, videos. In terms of the shows on the schedule, they can be generally broken down into two general categories, “Resident Shows” and “Limited Engagement Performances.”
“Resident Shows” are those performing on a regular basis throughout the season and have no “Clock Symbol” to the right of their name. They include such popular and diverse shows as the Adventures of Marco Polo; Clay Cooper Country Music Express; Haygoods; Incredible Acrobats of China Show featuring the New Shanghai Circus; Joseph; Legends in Concert; Mickey Gilley; Pierce Arrow; Presleys’ Country Music Jubilee; The Shoji Tabuchi Show; SIX; The Twelve Irish Tenors and dozens of others. “Limited Engagement Performances,” are those performing in Branson only for a short defined period of time, some as short as one performance, and are indicated with a “Clock Symbol” to the right of their name. These include entertainers and acts such as Bill Cosby, Clint Black, Charlie Daniels Band, Charlie Pride, Daniel O’Donnell, The Gatlin Brothers, Johnny Mathis Christmas Show, Mel Tillis, The Oakridge Boys and many more.
The Schedule’s default shows both “Resident Shows” and “Limited Engagement Performances” sorted alphabetically by name. By selecting the term “Limited Engagement,” from the drop down list in the “View Shows That Have” dialog box, the schedule will be filtered to show just those shows that are “Limited Engagements.” If the month of “October” was selected from the “View Shows By Month” dialog box, the list would be further filtered to show just those “Limited Engagement Shows” performing during October. To find shows will be open during specific dates click on Click Here to view Shows & Attractions available during your travel dates , enter the dates you are interested in and how you want the list sorted, either by “Name” or “Time.” If sorted by “Time” the list will show a separate list for each date sorted by time.
“Whether you call us at 1-800-785-1550 or use the Branson Tourism Center Show Shows and Attractions Schedule you will conveniently get the answer to the question, ‘What Branson shows will be performing when I am in Branson,'” Branson Tourism Center’s Johnson said.
